Healthy Kids -R- Happy Kids -R- Learning Kids Program
It is no secret that childhood obesity has become an epidemic that is negatively affecting the lives and learning of our children. According to studies done by the CDC and the NIH, childhood obesity affects not only the physical health of our children but an obese child is more likely to suffer a host of psychological and social difficulties as well, such as depression, anxiety, and troubles developing and maintaining close friendships. These problems ultimately lead to problems with learning and a child's achievement in school. In response to these growing issue, Auguste Moone has created "The Healthy Kids -R-Happy Kids -R- Learning Kids Program that teaches children how to get healthy and stay healthy all while having fun.
"The Healthy Kids -R-Happy Kids -R- Learning Kids Program" is a unique presentation that helps children view healthy foods and exercise in imaginative and fun ways. Through the presentation, children are able to play with basic exercise movements and develop an appreciation for eating those fruits and vegetables that are not only colorful but are good for them in ways they enjoy. Auguste uses the storybooks "The Adventures of Kenny The Couch Potato "and "The Forgotten Treasures" to get the children involved and focused on the information presented.
Program Features
I. The program presentation features 2 parts; "Moving With The Story" and "Powers of Foods"
II. Interactive story play activity that children enjoy
III. Age appropriate information about the benefits of eating various fruits and vegetables
IV. Sample of fruits and vegetables with play activities
V. optional..Each child can receive copies of the book series featured in the presentation

Program Overview
The Program is can be presented in optional 60 minute or 90 minute sessions and begins with the "Moving With The Story" segment. After a brief introduction, Auguste recites a story based on the storybooks "The Adventures of Kenny The Couch Potato". The children are encouraged to move along with Auguste and the story as he runs in place, jumps around, and squats like a duck with the characters in the recited story. After Auguste recites 2 short stories, the children are encouraged, as a group ,to help Auguste recite 2 more stories where they provide the action statements and help with the movements for the characters.Then, Auguste uses packaged but fresh fruit and vegetable to explain how each item helps them with some imaginative games that bring the lesson into full understanding in the "Powers of Foods" segment.
Children leave the presentation feeling empowered and capable of choosing the right foods, playfully exercising and having fun with their own imaginations and creativity.
